You Can:

1. Have Merlin read text that you type into the text box [above]. To do this just type in some text and click the 'Read Text' button
2. Get Merlin to read text that is on the Windows Clipboard by clicking the 'Read Clipboard' button
3. Make Merlin read selected [highlighted] text from this frame. Click and drag the left mouse button to highlight some text and click the 'Read Selection' button. Text Merlin has read will be marked with "<Merlin>" tags.
